![]() | Professional advice for amatuers Every - so - often we get an injury. If you're a professional you will likely have a physio to advice you, get the ice pack out and so forth. If a professional wants to try drugs there's usually someone there to provide advice. The professional also gets training support and advice on diet. But what about the amatuer? Where can we go for these things? I feel I'm on my own alot of the time, or getting my information my secondbest sources in terms of reliability; the gym training, the internet. Sure there's the 'net and online lab services but what about the things that require you to be there, like coaching? Other than the gym instructor I can't think of a way to improve my rowing, for example (it gives me a bad back, as does cycling). How much do professionals pay for their help too? Is there an organisation for amatuer sports people? If, for example I was getting really good at swimming where would I go to find a coach? |
