Text speak in posts
Although it boils my p1ss having to decifer posts with text speak such as 'wot cycle iz best 4 mass lyk' I understand lots of our younger, newer members use it.

What does everyone think of having a rule whereby all posts should be written in a clear, appropriate way for everyone to be able to understand?

Even though there are other threads regarding this topic i must agree and i just read the thread your talking about its extreemly annoying and makes the board look messy.
I think if you cant write out a proper post especially when creating a thread it should be deleted end of story.

i agree

however some of the younger generation may not be able to write in the queens proper english due to text speak

i definately find it annoying when i have to print out the page, drive 15 miles to my mates house and get his 8 year old daughter to tell me what it says, i then have to drive 15 miles back to post my response

I fully support having posts written in correct English.

As Magic Torch said, it is a already a rule although there are so many 'Rules Stickies' posted around the place at the moment that it's understandable why some people may never have read it.

One of the ideas I'm toying with is actually giving long-standing members the ability to Moderate/Delete threads.. more on this soon!

Either way, it'll be changing in the near future - just give me a couple of weeks to get on top of things.

My pet hate, i delete all PMs and emails containing this sh1te and actually click off 90% of posts which are written using it.
Its horrible, it makes people look less able and quite simply takes the **** out of the english language. Adults using it is even more of a crime.
