Re: Highlander movie

If it's as bad as the the third movie then I'm staying well clear. The first one was pretty good though.

Re: Highlander movie

I loved the first one and hated the second for completely destroying the story. Not seen the third as I was put off them by then.

I'll be watching it tonight so if you've seen please don't ruin the ending for me. I'll get back to you with my verdict.

Hollywood really is in the ****, as usual having to resurrect another franchise from the past because they are so void of intelligent ideas & writers these days.

Most of the guys in that clip were from the 90`s highlander tv series

Re: Highlander movie

TBH i agree with Cookie on this it just goes to show how the film industry is all about quantity of films these days rather than quality.

Re: Highlander movie

Saw this yesterday following on from this thread... It could have been a good film had they cut out the mega cheesy montages and sountracks. A real shame, 20 mins less it would have been enjoyable.

Adrian Paul from the TV show was a way better martial artist (sword arts) than christopher lambert...............he can also speak english (unlie C lambert who struggles with it at best) ....which may help

I do think though that its getting boring when all you get at the movies are re hashes of old 80s and 90s films

CLINT EASTWOOD is set to return as tough cop Dirty Harry — at the age of 77.

Ruthless Inspector Harry Callahan will come out of retirement to avenge his grandson’s murder.

Clint first played the “make my day” cop in 1971 flick Dirty Harry. The character’s last outing was in 1989 film The Dead Pool.

An insider said: “Clint sees this as his final action film.

“He’s looking forward to playing Harry again. But it’ll be realistic — he’ll be an old man.”

Re: Highlander movie

A strong contender for one of the worst films I've ever seen. The first film is a classic, but the sequels have all been varying degrees of rubbish. They really jumped the shark when they killed off Lambert in number 4. The series guy, Adrian Paul, was ok for a low budget TV series but cant carry a movie.

I think they'll probably do a complete remake of the first film next. In fact thats probably the best thing they can do.
