Personally I don't listen to music while lifting weights, prefer to hear the sound of hard work. Doing cardio i normally listen to some hip-hop.
I second that one - listen to the dumb grunts I make when doing weights and then my latest cd's if doing cardio. Although I'd much rather be doing cardio on some sport pitch than in the gym ug zzzzzzzzzz

LOL - Do you do cardio to burn fat ? HIIT Cardio is considered to burn muscle aswell as fat . Tehehe this is going to spark a huge debate , just wondering tho my friend

Yeah, most people who workout during the week follow the weights by slow incline cardio as this stops the body burning hard earned muscle aswell as the fats. Depends what you do in the gym also

Re: workout music

Seems like a lot of you listen to metal and stuff to get you going... I gotta agree hands down with ya! During cardio I listen to SOAD, NFG, Distillers, Minor Threat... just stuff thats quick and heavy and sometimes a bit of house/trance music to keep rhythm!.. Have a softer approach to resistance though!

Re: workout music

I like listening to trance while i'm doing cardio, Gatecrasher immortal is good.

I like listening to Grime aswell, but thats an earphone job, theres no chance they would play it in the gym.
