Re: Calzaghe V Hopkins :D

I totally agree with you Warren. The point I was trying to make was that if it had gone on further then the bull$hit Hopkins was dealing out would have been clear for all of the doubters to see.

Re: Calzaghe V Hopkins :D

I agree on bisping. The Count looked awesome. Those knees were phenomenal.
Serra looked dissapointing. While I think GSP is awesome, I was expecting a better performance from serra.

that cortez is a sham of a ref, the hatton vs fmj fight he had it stop start and would not allow hatton to BOX on the inside but some how he finds it ok to allow hopkins to HOLD all the way through.

If only that fight was in London or Cardiff. Hopkins wouldnt stand a chance with our refs.

Re: Calzaghe V Hopkins :D

There is no way in a million years Hopkins got a draw imo. Joe landed 2-1 punch wise and was the only one comming forward trying to make it a fight.

Saw the stats y'day, no way he can argue with them like you say, something like 700+ to 350-400 or so...says it all.

Re: Calzaghe V Hopkins :D

Some people argue its not the punches landed it pro boxing its the quailty of shot and who controls the fight. I disagree with this to some extent as scoring punches are punches landed you odnt get double the points if the punch is hard and hurts the guy.

Calzaghe is the only one who came forward and tried to make it a fight so in my book he won hands down.

Re: Calzaghe V Hopkins :D

i agree, i watched the fight and had calzaghe winning by 2 rounds at the last bell and thought he would win by split verdict! because the fight seemed closer than it actually was, imo. Hopkins was doing what he does-spoil and spoil but calzaghe showed skill and patience throwing good shots throughout and landing more than hopkins, although i dont think cortez should be allowed to ref another championship bout, his refereeing was terrible!but there isnt anyway on this planet hopkins could have possibly won that fight by holdind spoilind and faking.
