Arnold hands down.

The original action hero who brought the genre to another level.

I'll give steve reeves n reg park a mention aswell for playing hercules in the early movies.

Pitty that there arent any good action filmstars these days, now we get russel crow, mel gibson and vin diesel. Hardly schwarzenegger, stallone and van damme. But i guess their roles have been taken by women now, most action films now have a size 8, blonde woman running around knocking out big bad guys, aliens, trex's and zombies. Kill bill, tomb raider, resident evil, charlies angels, aeon flux etc etc...sadly they seem a bit stupid, its not the same as seeing a big ripped soldier beat the crap out someone. But thats the fashion now i guess. Why i dont ever go to see those types of film anymore.

What about charlize theron, uma thurman, cameron diaz, mila jovovavick (sp), angelina jolie etc etc...they are the current action hero movie stars.

Thats why i dont like the genre anymore. Occasionally theyll be a movie like gladiator or 300 that comes out and is brilliant.

300 got slated by critics though as being 'far too masculine', 'too full of testosterone', and even the guardian newspaper critic said that it was a propaganda tool for the americans to conquer land and call it 'freedom', that the spartans are just

I saw 300, my fav film. But that wasnt a single action hero flick, those are reserved for angelina jolie, cameron diaz, halle berry, mila jovoaovick, charlize theron etc etc.
