How many years of training does it take to look 'good'?

How many years of decent training do you feel it will take for someone to be 'on there way' in BBing terms?

can be assisted or otherwise.

Im going with 4 years of good training.

Re: How many years of training does it take to look 'good'?

I think 2-3 years if you are strict. It depends on if you are big slimming down or skinny building up....skinny and building up would take a lot longer imo

it could... but ...

say if you start bodybuilding at 18 and want to be the size of a pro bodybuilder would 4 years be enough...??? i think way longer..

but if you start out and just want to be bigger then 12 months will do it..

there's alot of factors...

Re: How many years of training does it take to look 'good'?

really ? that long. im not thinking about bb size as im starting out but some of the guys in the junior comps look awesome and surely when they under 20 they havent been taking steroids too long if at all and 6-8 years training means they would start at 12 - 14 and at that age imo is too young to start lifting heavy their bodys would not have grown. just a suprise.

interesting, id have thought the opposite as you would have to get some fat off at some point to look half decent.

and in some cases i tuink naturally 'skinny' people can get away with cheat meals bit more because of there metabolism just eating it up

Agreed, I started at 10stone about 5 years ago. I only really started seriously 2.5 - 3 years ago and I'm 15st now. I need another 3 stone ideally, I think that when Im 16.5 stone I'll be ok.

I have a super fast metabolism, I need to eat 4.5k cals a day to add weight, but I have never have an ounce of fat on me.

Re: How many years of training does it take to look 'good'?

Depends how genetically gifted you are..There isnt a time frame to give someone...Yeh in a year or two you will see big changes but depends what you are really looking for.And how can someone really determine what "Looks good"...some people have different views on shapes n size but can I ask the OP a question..Are you trying to see how long it will take YOU to look good?? I think by the sounds of things m8,your in for a tough time as it takes years upon years to start to get any decent shape, with the exception of the genetically gifted of course...
Its not a sprint m8,its a marathon remember that
