| Looking Freaky | Knees are F**ked... help over tha past couple fo months I've had trouble with my knees - well mostly my left knee. I was squatting Very heavy (without wraps) 5 plates a side for 10 reps - so I decided to have a break from traininG legs for a bit. So I took a month off from doing anuthing on my legs. I started again the other week and in all honesty they feel very bad - there is constant pain there. I've been on a cycle whilst this has been happening - and I've not put on any weight but my strnegth has gone through the roof. I'm putting this donw to the fact I 've ot trained my legs... I've always like to train them but it seems that I need to re-think what I need to do... the Gym I use has a limited amount of equipment for legs - the leg press si **** and I could arm curl the amount of weight u can get on there, same with the extension mach... I need to hit my legs without hitting my knees - my deadlift is now begging to cuse problems as well... I was gogin to go to the doctor but chances are he will just give me some anti inflamatories - so what about an osteopth or somthing else..... HELP!!!!!! |

![]() | Do not bother going to your GP because as you say he will just give you anti inflamatories and tell you to rest. Go and see a proper qualified sports doctor, they aren't cheap but most of them know their stuff

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Agree with Raven there. I had to give up football for two years thanks to NHS Docs and GPs mis-diagnosing my knee problem. I went private, saw a sports physio and was back playing within 3 months. If i'd stuck with the NHS i'd have a nice scar and be missing half a ligament now. |
