![]() ![]() | Re: Good Books? Reading is overrated, I mean comon it`s the XXI century with plasma TV, DVDs, Xbox, text-to-speech softwares... 24hrs in a day is not enough for books anyway (as one of my teachers once said `Reading is a waste of time` she was great wasnt`she?) that said, some of the books I read quite some time ago and care to remember is Hagakure (spelled 葉隠聞書 remember that) - The Book of the Samurai, awesome if you interested in this kinda stuff (if you think samurai=tom crusie this is probably not your book )A History of the Crusades by Sir Steven Runciman. One of the best (history) book I ever read and I read a few. Picked his book up by chance in the uni library and I`m so glad I did. But most of the stuff I read nowadays is about my future profession as a CG artist - should I ever get there lol - (anatomy books, and books of naked women for reference purposes ) and of course uk-muscle :lift: Come to think of it I don`t read fiction anymore, only stuff I can learn from and put it into real-life practice. Boring I know.. |

Anno Dracula - Excellent fictional vampire book where Jack the Ripper is a vampire hunter and all hookers are vampires. Well worth a read. Games People PLay - Robert Longdon. Good psychology book on the interactions between people is certain situations. Makes relationships and interaction much easier to understand. NLP in 21 days - Currently reading this, would be good for anyone involved in sales or a face to face workplace as it teaches you little ideas to use in your interactions. Sports Hypnosis - Reading at the moment. Self hypnosis and others for sports performance. Theres some quite powerful ideas for mental focus and drive.
