Ha ha most people do when they answer this question, they get an idea in their head and wont admit theyre wrong. What I find funniest is the people who try using technical jargon to answer it but have no idea what theyre talking about

I have not rad pages 4 & 5 so appologies if it has been said before with regards to the bullet question of cause the one fired from teh gun will hit the ground quicker. And here my reasoning. Myself and Raikey (think it was you who asked the question) lay on the floor Th&S pointing a gun at one of us and Frog holding a bullet to drop who would you rather be under. If they hit the us at the same time they must have been traveling the same speed so will we both be killed? or will both the bullets just roll off. I have chosen to let frog drop the bullet incase you were wondering.

if the ground is completly flat and wind conditions are perfect, they will hit the ground at the same time.

this is because you only take into account the vertical component.

using the equation t= (square root everything) 2s/g

where t= time, s= distance g= gravity

however, the curvature of the earth will effect it, but these numbers are too small to make a fuss about.

Both the bullets would hit the floor at the same time.

Bullet dropped by hand, has gravity affecting it, pulling it down.

Bullet fired from gun, STILL has gravity pulling it down, but its firing forward, so it will still hit the floor exactly the same time (providing there is no obstical in front of the muzzle that it can hit first)

This is why you have to compensate bullet drop when you fire a gun, just because the bullet is being fired with a huge push, doesnt mean that it doesnt drop.
