a fair few months ago I lent a couple of my mates a few things.

One of them I lent £80 on the guarantee I would have it back as soon as they got paid (this was around September time)

The other I lent a box set of family guy dvds (which I love).

I have not received either the £80 nor the dvds back as yet and am not impressed with either of them, so not only will I not be lending them anything again, I will not be lending *anyone* *anything* again, if you dont have the cash for something, its not my problem.

Not only that but I asked the same mate I lent £80 to to help me move my kingsize bed when I moved out of my old place, and not only did he not do that he ****ed someone on it too, didnt tell me a left a load of condom wrappers on the floor when me and my mum went to dismantle it and transport it home, was like walking into a minefield.

I text him asking if he had been shagging on my bed and did not get a response whatsoever, I called him
and text him a few times concerning the money and not only did I not get an answer, I did not get a reply.

I am not going to be taken for a ride like this again I can tell you.

Yeah another member had problems with a similar problems...but thats the way the world is...most mates or plastic mates...not many real mates out there!

Yeah I have thought about that mate but I feel there is little point, one of them is about 6 ft 2 and 17stone or so (mostly of flab) and the other is about 5ft 11 or so and around 14-15 stone again mostly flab, one of them is quite handy the other mostly talk.

Fighting isnt really my deal to be honest........

i know what u mean as well u dont wona get on the wrong side of some people and its not like they have done anything really bad but still i think u should stand ur ground just turn up at there houses 1 day and ask em on the spot or borrow somthin off them or take somthin lol

What makes you think that anyone will take care of your stuff the way you would?
You loaned the money to him, what makes you think it will be convient for him to return your money?

I agree they are not mates but, when guys ask me for a loan, I just tell them that I dont have any money.

Or, interestingly enough, just today I was talking to a friend that loaded up 109 gigs of MP3's on my drive and I have about that or more, and I am cleaning up the drive.
Seems a friend wants to borrow the drive. Sorry, but 200 gigs of MP3's is almost 50,000 songs and if he even thinks I will loan it to him he is high.

I never loan money anymore, I know not to as they tend to forget as it is not important to them, I mean why should they?
I have loaned out alot of stuff and then forget who I loaned it to.
You learned a valuable lesson, glad you learned that.
