I think the end bits were poachers because they seemed to be shooting at the plane and ran away when it came near.

thats the saddest thing I have seen on this site.

I can only echo the others comments in that it is acceptable when it is for feeding purposes, it is the way of the world. However, the rich b@stards who shot for fun is sickening.

Just like yeti - I feel I will live with those images for a long time.

man i had to turn that off. I hate cruelty to animals. I dont blame people to hunt for food to live but to do it for show man thats just too wrong in my book.

Im sure alot of you guys would hate to spend a day in an abattoir, the things you would see there would also upset you but you still all eat the meat

Today people are so far detached from where there food comes from, its not a particularly nice thing to watch but its what we humans do

Most of my friends are farmers and iv seen many cows, bulls, sheep shot and its not pretty but the Africans are no worse than us, we consume much much more meat than they do but that dosnt make us bad. They also use every part of the animals they kill, skins, blood, brains etc. they waste nothing. They do it to survive and we do it on a much larger scale because we can and we like it

If i lived in africa where food is so scarce id be running round with spears killing everything that moved too to be honest

Damn, watching that one elephant pull those spears out with his trunk was crazy, it knew that it got hit and felt pain.

can understand how we all need to kill certain animals to eat and stay alive but killing elephants and hippos like that is just wrong, very touching video just goes to show what a cruel world we are living in

i know it was so sad to see them pulling the spears out, i'm pretty sure they dont eat elephants so i suppose it was for the tusks....... mind you the bloody human race is pretty cruel, i once knew a south african guy who in one of the wars they had there killed this black guy and used his ball bag as a dice shaker(dried it out on a block of wood) and skull as a drinking vessel, dunno what he blocked all the holes up with though!!

Meh, I didn't really care to be honest... It's only in our isolated, detached western culture that we are appauled by these things... I would prefer not to kill animals unless they provide food; but i'm not an african who is starving and under the threat of a corrupt government and organised gang crime so I have the luxury of being appauled. I suppose the mass human graves at the end didn't give anyone a clue as to the suffering these people go through - I'm sure if it meant the survival of your family you would kill an elephant for it's ivory.

However, the white men who go over just to kill an elephent for fun are just ****ers.

i think the video is shocking to western eyes,as megaton and others said we are removed from where our food comes from,but food animals were'nt always killed with a bolt gun and electric shock.
