Work out naked....
With the increase in weather im finding the heat in the gym is unbearable, even though it has aircon; its sh1t and never works half the time...plus no one wants to open a window! Im the one who comes in and opens the 2 accessible windows as wide as possible to get some air in....plus we dont have any oscillating fans as well so it doesnt help.
Anyone got any tips on how to keep cool in the gym on a hot day?
I usually take a bottle of well chilled/ice water with me, wear shorts and tank tops [dont wear vest at all] but even still i find it hard with the heat which affects my workout and concentration.

As crazy as it sounds, taking one of those little battery hand-fan things might help ya. Yeah, you'll look like a proper diva but it should cool you down a bit. Can normally buy a pack of 3 in the pound shop
I drank 2 litres of water in the gym yesterday and sweated most it back out, it was ridiculously hot.
My mrs had to peel my vest off me when I got home as it was soaked through
In years gone by, I've trained in some rather basic, albeit well equipped gyms, with no hint of air-con, and some ceiling windows.
Height of summer - truly hot. Probably helped because then I would normally train early evening - but still could be really hot. Just drink lots of water, and work through it. You probably won't be able to lift as much, or work as hard - but it's all part of it.
Gyms I train in now are all air-conditioned, so largely find the outside temperature doesn't affect the inside temperature. Just when walking outside after a hard cardio session, can be hotter than hell.
The worst I've encountered has been some boxing gyms or places where some martial arts clubs use - going back some years, some of them could be truly sauna-esque in the height of summer. The only other places I've found truly awful, heat wise, are going back some years, when abroad on holiday, and some hotels claimed they had a "gym" - in some cases, it was a dark, dank room, with no windows - and aircon was just a pipe dream. That and the odd gym that was in the upstairs of a swimming baths, but again, no aircon - in the height of summer, there were some tiny windows - you can imagine how much help they were.
Back in the day, though (and bearing in mind that would be the 80s for me) I can't think of any gyms, then, that had aircon.

Take a couple of freezer blocks with you. Stick one under each armpit for a few minutes whenever you're feeling too hot.
Train in a vest, only do curls, and the squat rack is next to the window
