Old Arnold Film Re-released - UK-Muscle Body Building Community

They have re-released 'stay hungry', a film arnold did in 1976. The only film he ever one an award for too. I've been looking for this to buy for ages. Anyone seen it? Here's a link:

Yeah I have it.

Its ok. It has a load of bodybuilders running down the street at the end and you might reconise a few faces like ken waller(off season weight) and others from that time. It also has jeff bridges and sally fields in it as well.

Arni plays a bodybuilder in it so his acting is not to bad and he also plays the fiddle in a hillbilly band (a bit odd). He was told to drop weight before filming began so he is only 210lbs in the film but still looks big.

It has him working out with fake weights and wearing a mask.

I have hercules in new york. Its brilliant - like many unintentionally funny films are. In fact I've bought it twice on hollywood dvd from blockbuster but it seems to self destruct after a number of plays. Both copies just 'died' after I watched them about three times. Bloomin rip off.

Hey have you guys seen the film Cactus Jack? Its a comedy westen with Kirk Douglas and Arni plays a unconvincing cowboy in it.

I actually pulled the link off of another forum. The funny thing is they loved the movie. These guys were saying it was one of their favorite movies. I watched the link and I dont think I could finish it to be honest. :o Sorry. Is it any good?

Arnie won a golden globe for best newcomer in Stay hungry ( I think)... Cactus Jack - typical b movie western trash...

Hurc in NY- as you said - very funny... it is soooo badly dubbed - as they though Arnie's accent was too strong....

Thats right mate - the only acting award he ever got. After that film he decided he didn't want to do drama and thats when he started with the action films.

Have you not heard the proper version of hercules, with Arnies real voice? Its brilliant. I cant imagine that film with another actors voice - Arnie's voice makes it great. I dont think I could watch it with the dubbed voice.

Cactus Jack is a bit dodgy. Kind of funny in places though. I taped that off bbc1 a good few years ago now.

yeah ive got cactus jack & hercules on dvd. Both funny whilst not supposed to be. I like the birds outfit in cactus jack... cleavage or what! lol.

Stay Hungry is an excellent film - do they say wether it will be released on region 2

I think its the non-dubbed version, in fact im pretty sure it is. Will check later.

I've seen em both... Cactus Jack is quite entertaining... Bird is, or rather was, smart (she must be knocking on now) but Arnie played the perfect gentleman... Persionally I would have given her a right seeing too. lol
