Last few sessions ive been pushing pretty hard not for a long time just high weight for me.
Anyhow when i get done after about 10 mins i get really sleepy and kinda sick feeling.Arms feel hollow and nausea sets in .Yesterday it only lasted about 40 mins. Also feel shaky and ill take a little honey for blood sugar but it really doesent help.

Re: Sick feeling after workout

Also another question related to this . Lets say i train for 1.5 hours thats 30 mins warm up or more.
Then i can tell im slipping. So i stop generally get that sick tired feeling. Then about an hour later im feeling good again.
Would it be ok to train again or is it just to much?

Dark
Ps sorry if this is wrong forum section

Re: Sick feeling after workout

its hard to say although i'm sure most people on here have felt sick and shaky at some point.
Do you eat too close to working out? Whats in your PWO shake?

Re: Sick feeling after workout

I dont to many shakes just a standerd whey protein supp.
I start out the day with oats then eggs and eventually fruit.

I just figured eveybody gets that feeling . I swear if i dont get the shaky sick feeling im just not pushing hard enough.

When i do get it i feel as if i pushed to much. Good thing it goes away pretty quick.

Re: Sick feeling after workout

I probably experience this at least once a month. A nauseating/anxious type feeling.

Only difference to you is that I vomit violently:(. However, after I chuck up, I feel as good as new & ready to go again.:smoke:

Re: Sick feeling after workout

Yeah I get that sometimes but I usually only workout for an hour.. 30 mins warmup? I am no expert but will you not use up all your energy? I usually just do 2000m on the rowing machine for warmup.

Re: Sick feeling after workout

If your worried go to the docs and get check up, blood pressure etc.. I had a thing the other day where I felt so drained I didnt have the energy to walk out the place. My vision was blurred, shaking, It felt almost like I was drunk. Think mine was down to lack of food that day and just didnt have anything left to give.

I agree with you, forgot to mention that. 30 mins warm up is way OTT. 5-10 mins will do, after all your only warming up, not burning up!!!

Re: Sick feeling after workout

I always put it down to lack of blood to the brain from fpcused muscle pump.

I always get sick, headaches, general "not with it" feeling after a heavy leg or back workout

Re: Sick feeling after workout

Your training too long. 30 min warm up is too long IMO. If it's cardio warm up your doing, why don't you do cardio in the morning or after training?

As Paul said, legs & back sessions seem to take it out of me more than others. It's logical really - they're both big bodyparts.

I sometimes get that if i haven't had enough carbs before a workout body just doesn't have enough to get through the workout session.

Sugar levels, plain and simple. Each cell only has a certain turnover energy ratio, once used up, no energy, no energy lack of oxygen and so on.
