Started my 5 am training today

Got up this morning at 5, had a strong cofee and myprotien whey and oats shake, then headed for my garage, never trained this early before, did chest today, started off slow but by the end was getting a good pump, was really feeling it in my shoulders tho, they are slighty bruised from front squats yesterday so hoping its just that, unless its just a case of my body getting used to training so early. Did incline db press 5 x8 , flat db press 5 x 8, flyes 4 x 10 , hammer press 4 x 10. felt alittle sick but im sure i'll get used to it. Shoulders tomorrow!!!!

Re: Started my 5 am training today

You need to be really careful about training heavy first thing. Your joints aren't in the mood for it, even though you may be. Make sure you do a good warm up inc a little cardio, stretching and warm up reps otherwise you can make a mess of yourself. You need to get blood circulating around the joints.

Did 2 warm up sets, then 1st set alittle lighter than normal, then just got on with it, i might just go for a 10min jog tomorrow aswell. planing on doing one muscle group a day, apart from bi's and tri's i'll combine, and legs will have to be done on weekend duing the day, can face that at 5 am lol

Re: Started my 5 am training today

The main reason for it is so i can spend time with my family in the evenings as the misses was moaning abit lol, plus i know that i wont miss a workout now, or get hurryed up as dinner is on the table. think i'll be using my lunch break at work as nap time now though, go down the back of the warehouse and snooze

My stength seems to be getting better with this morning training, could it be to do with the higher natural test levels that you get with morning training? looking forward to the nxt 2 days as its tri's tomorrow and bi's the nxt morning, be able to get a extrea 20mins in bed ! :jerk: lol
