Finally ordered Arnies "Pumping Iron"

Now, i am like a major Arnie fan so i cant belive i havent ordered it sooner.

Cant wait to watch it!

Anyone seen it? is it good?

its not really that good.. but u get the idea of what a di ck arnold was..

u should have told me and i would have send it 2 u!

I think it is a really good video.

Watched it again yesterday infact. Thats the way I want to look like the bodybuilders of old.

I think it's a great film,arnie comes across as a bit of a ****,but then again he was just mentally stronger than louie,he did what he felt was nessecary to win.for anytone who doesn't have it, then dvd is in hmv for £20.

the extras on the dvd are interesting the film itself is quite good bit boring with the people like mike catts but the rest is good,i think arnie comes across as a joker

In one of the extras, Arnold explains that most of the things he did on the video were to make the movie more entertaining. Whether that's true or not, I don't know.

Arnie is a very very clever man, he knew that by playing up to the camera it would lead to greater things, I fully believe that he planned everything he did and said and deliberately took the pi$$ when talking about "cumming every day in the gym" etc... ;)

Pumping iron is an amazing film. I'm gonna have to get the new dvd. Arnold is pretty cool in it I think. The scenes of him winding up big louie are the highlight. Some of the dialogue in there was made up to increase the audience reaction to the stars. I wouldn't take anything arnold said in it too literally. The scene where he claims to have ignored his dad's funeral to compete for instance was a story he stole from another pro.

Did anyone know that Big Louie fell out with his Dad after Pumping Iron? He felt his dad made him look stupid in it. I dont know if he made up with his dad before his dad died a few months ago, but he hadn't by 95 when he released the vid of his masters olympia comeback.

You watched the extras on the dvd, he reckons he was basically acting. I had pumping iron on video from when it first came out. Then bought it on dvd in the states as soon as that came out. The dvd adds an entire new light to the film.

Big Louie's vid? Yeah its very good. You feel kind of sorry for him by the end of it. I have it on dvd. It came as an extra on an incredible hulk dvd (gotta love the 70s hulk series!) - the disc was worth it just for that. The documentary is called stand tall. Very interesting, plus you feel kind of sorry for him by the end. I dont think he ever mentally recovered from losing to Arnie at the 76 Oylmpia and then being made out to be so dumb in Pumping Iron. I'd definitely recommend it. I'd recommend getting the hulk dvd with it on even more!

Which hulk dvd does it come free on? I know his comeback vid was called standing tall, but the only place i could find to order it was on lou`s website and it was silly money. Would probably workout cheaper if i order the hulk dvd.
