Talking Tattoo Design - Opinions wanted
Hi guys

Im thinking of getting my 1st tattoo, on my upper left arm, does anyone know of a good artist in central Scotland? (Glasgow - Edinburgh - Dundee)

Im currently in Dundee but there aren't many tattoo places here and i saw this on the web, pretty scary:http://www.tribetattoo.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=180

Tribe in Glasgow and Edinburgh (http://www.tribetattoo.co.uk/) look good and do custom work, which is what im after. i maybe going for a Maori, Indian & japanese influenced tattoo, does it sound ok? i know a tatto is a personal thing but i wanted opinions from people who have had work done.

Not thinking of going crazy, just the upper left arm, that way it will stay hidden under my clothes, and not viewable even if i wear a short-sleeve shirt, so going for moderation.

Has anyone been 'discriminated' for having tattoos?

Any recomendations and opinions welcome

Not into them myself but ALL my mates are and they all rave about Tribe mate (Edinburgh). There is also a good one in Bathgate called "Comedian tattoo" who, despite the name has a very good reputation.

i started off witha small tatt on my upper arm-
6 months later i thought it looked silly and small and had it enlarged somewhat-
it would have looked better done in one go so it didnt look added too.
ive never noticed any discrimination-its too mainstream these days.
anyhoo-the only time it would be an issue is getting a job and you`d be wearing a shirt..
so i`d say get a decent sized one

My bros mates go on about a brill place in Stirling - cant mind the name of it though.

Trevs in Perth is ament to be pretty good too. I would never get a tat in Dundee, no offence lol!

yeah..Tribe look good, hence the reason for posting the link, but there got to be alot more artist than tribe. I recently saw a pic in the sun were this guy had the sistine chapel tattood on his back: looked really nice and the artist is in scotland but i threw the damn paper in the bin

wish i didnt get mine - they all look tacky

dont bother mate just go on a cheap holiday and look around the pool and evrybody got one it looks really tacky - and the ones without look better (and i got one) - its a bad idea

www.tattooartists.org plenty of pics on ere for you,ive got 2 full sleeves and a back peice and one side off me chest done,make shure you think long and hard befor doin it id get a half sleeve they look much better that just the odd tat sat on you arm a proper peice of art.
