Hi all

Does anyone know if it is possible for a male and a female to take part in a boxing match? I mean in terms of rules etc is there anything that states a man cannot fight a woman?

Reason i ask is we are planning charity events for a local cause - The Grace House Appeal and we have decided on a charity boxing match and a plane jump.

Anyone?

Real boxing or Foxy Boxing Kel? I think there are the same rules in foxy boxing as in proper boxing but I do know that everyone wins!

I'll take the missus on for charity - but she'd prob kick my ass!

I dont think you could really....you could have two girls fighting, just without gloves, and shorts, just a pair of hot pants and some mud or baby oil.....

I dont see why not, i've been on with a few women and they can hit harder then most blokes.

if its for charity i dont see why not. been to a few before with men and women boxing for charity as long as its just sparring not full on knock out style.

nah mate not full on knock out style, well i hope not, lol. We will both have the protective gear on and it will have a proper ref etc, it will take place in a local boxing gym.

None of the blokes would do it when the guy asked as he is 46 so they felt they would be hitting an oldie so muggins here agrees, well its for charity someones gotta help the kids. I find out later in the night he used to box in the army

so this should be fun. I am now in training, lol bought my wraps last night and the mr is taking me to the boxing gym at the weekend oh man i cant belive im going to do this.

Doesn't make a difference, I've seen some ex-military spar, most amateurs of 6months standing would drop them inside 4 rounds. Remember that cleaning a gun doesn't mean you know how to throw flurries or counter.

You're not going to lose because he's military - you're going to lose because you're much lighter and weaker.

I've sparred with women back in the day, I think your other half is going to be more worried about hurting you than some clever sod in the crowd sitting amongst the grannies on his day off seeing it's not for real and shouting, "Fix!"

If its for charity i would try WWE style wrestling instead it is more a mo0ney spinner than boxing is, just my opinion. Could call yourself 'kel from hell'

Well Kel i believe your old enough and mature enough to know what Foxy boxing is so pay attention -

As is tradition when two ladies arent really down with each other they take their tops off, oil up and put on some novelty sized boxing gloves and step inside the squared circle to settle their differences.

been boxing 7 years and brother is turning pro , and never heard of the idea - could get you sued if the girl breaks her neck - i would emagine the insurance would be very high

make sure you buy small gloves and get him the bigggest padded ones you can this way you MIGHT be able to get through his guard, but if he has been boxing in the army for years and you havent im affraid it's:gun:
