This aint a dig at MC just my opinion on things.. I think getting signed off work for depression is the worst thing in the world!! I remember when I had 6 months of uni and work I got so fukin bored and depressed all u need is abit of motivation like a job so u are around people all day and kept busy…

Plus if u have depression do u think playin with your hormones with steroids is the answer mate?
As that I have had to study depression doing psychology, and fats and cholesterol doing clinical biochemistry, there does seem to be a link between the types of fats we are eating and an increase in depression.

This change in our diet, from more omega 3 and derived fats to hydrogenated palm oils, occurred about 50 years ago.

Another funny thing about cholesterol and fats, is that the cholesterol lowering drugs, the statins, also seem to increase the chance of depression or violent/suicide types of deaths!

Just by lowering the cholesterol!

Cholesterol is the precursor for a number of the hormones, in particular the sex steroid hormones, and it is an important component of cell membranes, keeping them fluid, and there are these receptors for cholesterol that take it in whenever it is present, called clathrin coated pits.

I also think that a lot of anti-depressants are mis-prescribed!

Ok geeked out for the day!

Oh, I was hoping someone would say this.
This dips back to a thread of 1g of sust a week and after 12 weeks go on 250mg a week for 6 weeks instead of PCT?

I am on many boards and some of them are TRT boards. Once you bang a lot of gear for long periods of time, you will suffer from anxiety, depression, jacked up lipid profiles, possible total shutdown of the HPTA and it may not fire back up.

How do they come off?
They taper and taper very slowly.
It takes months then many months to recover the HPTA.
On this TRT board if you read some of these dudes posts you feel a sense of the person being so overwhelmed they are out of their minds.
Some of the most depressing posts I ever read were guys that abused gear and stayed on for a long time. They tried recovery and felt so bad they just went back on.

Hey, sorry if this hits home but I felt it needed to be said.

Sure do: http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/

Most of those posts are in the Men's Health Forum.
Do a search and type in depression on the mens health and do some reading.
These guys are all older and most of them are on TRT/HRT protocols.
They happen to be some of the smartest people I have ever come accross.

Ake, I think this woman is being a nasty little bitch for kicking a man about his lack of a job/money/etc - which, when all is said and done, is pretty much how we men define our worth and place in the home and out of it.

The bodybuilding lifestyle does not rub shoulders comfortably with the careerbuilding one. The two conflict greatly, you need a very great deal of discipline to lift heavy 5 days a week, eat clean 6 days a week, and still put in 40 often stressed-out hours, along with possibly a stressful home life as well.

Something has to give - and usually it's good prospects, good pay, or both. It took me ages to balance the two, and even then I sometimes fall off the wagon with missed workouts or some champers at a wedding that turn into a boozing session, or getting yawny in company meetings I have to sit in for three hours but say about 5 damn words in.

The two biggest things in my life are Bodybuilding (or bodycutting, perhaps) and careerbuilding, and the opinion of some bint who knows jack sh1t about either, who's never seen the inside of a gym that didn't have pink dumbells and is probably on the dole herself, about to get forced into taking some freebie hairdressing course, cuts damn little ice with me.

Rant over.

Keyser.

Keyser.
Thats a bit of a broad stroke to paint with from such limited info regarding the woman.

So lets just turn this into another rant against women eh? How suprising that it was you that put up this type of post.

And is that a rant about my rant??!?!?

Tom, my views on women have little to do with THIS particular one. Granted I only have our friends description of her words, but the LOWEST a woman can hit is to attack a mans income, we who are still the primary breadwinners FOR THEM by a large majority. We give up our blood, sweat, tears and toil at jobs we don't always like and sometimes hate. We do it so they can feel at ease that we can keep them in the style equal to that which their fathers acclimated them. Attacking his income is the lowest form of insult a woman can make about a man, and it's only made BY the lowest form of women.

She can have a go at anything else, but to me, for her to malign what we work so damn hard for, sorry, that's crossing the line. If I married Cindy Crawford's equally gorgeous kid sister and she made a PEEP about the reduced circumstances, I'll throw her said gorgeous a$$ out on the street. Well ok, no I wouldn't, marriage is a partnership yada yada, but you get me.

Yes, that was a rant too!

(takes deeeep breath)

Ake - count your lucky stars you're well shot of her, you seem like a good bloke and I think she scored a long way out of her league with you. Most women aren't like she is, keep hunting.

Keyser.

ps - I DEFFO would kiss the younger Miss Crawfords feet if she's anything like her big sis, even if they'd just kicked me in the mush.

So you're on incapacity benefit because your depressed and anxious?

Im a bit confused tbh, but you shouldnt expect sympathy from smart members who realise there are two sides to every story, especially when these things (as serious as they sound) that are wrong with you can be referred to as "and some other stuff that i wont get into" - how are we supposed to give you any feedback with this info? - and if they are so horrible that you cannot mention them. it probably wasnt the best idea to post them on a discussion board and maybe you should have seeked some professional help?

Fair enough if you were in a wheelchair or you were brain damaged and were'nt fit to work she would be in the wrong, but IMO Depression lasts as long as YOU want it to and is as serious as you make it for yourself.

IMO you would be better off going to college and/or working, it woul make you feel alot better.

Hope u get ur problems sorted mate

people who have never had mental disorders or been depressed often have very little understanding of it,its a case of brain chemical balance, not positive thinking.

and prob shouldn't be taking steroids upsetting further chemical/hormonal balances...

not to mention your only 175lbs and could easily gain naturally by the means of a slight manipulation to your diet and training...
