![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | People: 1) Valentino probably got paid a truckload of cash to make that documentary, although I still have to wonder how much cash makes a man show his lack of self-respect to millions of people in one hit; 2) Steroids do nothing to make you healthier, and I'm deliberately putting that mildly - the jury is still out on their long term health implications. You want to be a Guinea Pig, you will pay a price, the only question is how painful that price is; 3) If your loved ones already had only a hazy idea about what you do to pursue Bodybuilding, don't blame a documentary for beating you to the punch with it's crappy information. 4) Agreed - the man looks fvcking AWFUL!! ![]() Keyser. |

disagree with this completely why should it be up to us to educate the masses on steroids use? the public have a right to know about the dangers of steroids as well as the fact they can and are being used safely by millions of bodybuilders world wide but they deserve the truth not some f*cking bullsh!t programme telling them lies in order to scare off potential users, claiming their arms will explode and its almost certain your gonna have a heart attack thats blatant misinformation and bullsh!t should be allowed who made that programme? i say we all write a letter (email) of complaint to them

but lets put this into prospective...NO ONE i will say again NO ONE has ever died from steroid use...yes bodybuilders have died but this is because of diuretics mostly... where more people die from drinking or smoking or over eating every minute of every day......i know of natural guys or guys who don't use as much as myself that condemn me every time i see them for my steroid use but 3 of these guys have serious medical problems due to smoking and drinking.....so unless all the haters of steroids can start showing me proof of deaths caused by steroids or any long term health effects other than "my mate said your gonna die Blah Blah" i say Fukc off as i can show you millions of studies and pictures of the damage smoking and drinking can cause....so put up or shut up

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Very disappointing programme. Factually inaccurate and scaremongering. People should hopefully be able to explain to concerned relatives why, what happened to Valentino, will never happen to them. But it was the comments like those made by Arnie's former training partner, where he said that even one course of steroids was like planting a seed, that would somehow kill you from the inside-out, over many years, that will stick in uninformed people's minds. These are the ones that are more difficult to argue against. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Must admit that yesterday I was on the fence with regards to GV............................................toda y I think he is nothing more than an attention seeking fool. The programme was a bad reflection of bodybuilding. I am a trained statician, and I can't work out the numbers.......... If 5% of men have taken juice, and the link between heart attack and BBing is statistically significant (2 sigma shifts). Then we should have around 1,155,000 heart attacks related to steriods.............................I dont think so. If that was the case the government would defo have stepped in at least attempted to educate more (And probs taxed or banned juice). I would LOVE to see a study of 5000 previous steriod users aged say 60 compared to the same amount who have not taken steroids. Only then would you get an indication of any link between steroid use and heart attacks. My opinion (Without this study) is you would find a null hypothesis (No link). |

![]() ![]() | I wonder when we can expect to see a programmes entitled "The man who trained religiously for years to achieve his goal" or "How bodybuilders take control of thier diet and responsibility for how they look?" Somehow I doubt it. Why? Because all the media is interested in is a sensationalist story that stirs up as much controversy as possible irrespective of the facts. God forbid that BB might actually be portrayed as dedicated and self disciplined athletes! |

As I said yesterday in this thread http://www.uk-muscle.co.uk/general-c...-exploded.html the guy's a complete moron, just dragged our beloved sport through the dirt. WHAT ANNOYS ME MORE THAN ANYTHING IS HIS ARMS ARE A MESS AS A RESULT FROM SYNTHOL ABUSE NOT THE USE OF AAS :jerk: . The word synthol wasnt even mentioned ONCE. My girlfriend had tears in her eyes and said "it hurts to think you may end up like that one day" I mean wtf, cheers Greg. How anyone can have the slightest bit of admiration for this mug is beyond me! R
