I"m afraid stretching will not to my knowledge open up channels that are blocked,but used regularly it would help create a sense of well being to stop potential blockages of a phyisical nature.I think everyone has blocked chakras which can manifest it"s self in differing ways.Reiki can heal/prevent blockages that can lead to physical or emotional effects.Reiki can be treated to an individual on a physical level ie hands on head/torso etc but can also be initiated so that can heal emotional blockages.Many people who receive treatments are told to drink plenty in the days that follow a treatment attunement as they get a sort of dettox/cold like symptoms,many find themselves crying alot feeling like a great weight has been lifted from them in the weeks that pass.
I personnally after my attunements found I dont get as untight about things,or nervous if going somewhere or doing something that I am not comfortable with ie giving a presentation.
I dont think you realise you have a blocked chakra until you have had a treatment and sense a difference in how you feel phyisically or mentally compaired with before you received it,you dont notice a change until you feel a change.

I like to cal it healing with natural energy....lifeforce...


The main thing is that it can reduce your stress levels 10+fold and that alone can be profound for some people...stress being one of the biggest causes of illness and even killers in this modern world...


There are about 160 different style of healing with energy that I`ve come across, me I am attuned to master level in 13 styles but much prefer to use just the kundalini reikie version at the moment, but then again when I do healing for people I`m often "prompted" to use different ones at different times for different people when I`m meditating before a treatment.

If your serious about it then you need to decide how far you want to go with this as when I was "attuned" we had to spend 7 days before the "attunement" as vegetarians to help the body detox, plus the removal of alcohol and caffeine, even nicotine for some. Then the attunements took a full day (level 1) and another 7 days in detox mode with lots of exercises to do to speed up this detox process and allow the new energies to settle..

I`ve alays been as they say "sensitive" so for me it was quite an eye opening and profound experiance. I would suggest finding somebody who has had Reiki healing from a Reiki master and approach the master about wether they teach and attune others...Me I don`t as I feel I don`t have enough worldly experiance in the use of the energies to my full potential, plus I have "issues" ect that I need to balance within myself before I will be at the level I "expect" of myself to be able to do justice to the people that may come to me for teaching......

YES and it can be very dangerous.....There is a type of yoga called "kundalini" yoga which if not taught right and the person doing it isn`t prepared properly can awaken the "kundalini" which is a serpant (snake) like creature(energy) that is at the base of our spines. When awoken this energy uncoils itself and wins its way up our spines and into our brain(crown chakra), awakening this too quickly or when not prepared for it can and has caused mental issues and problems to some people as it is a very powerfull energy and with its direct link to the mind can really unbalance some people....

I have had a few sessions and each time cried my eyes out and i never cry, my master never even put her hands on me and the heat is unreal, i was told and i dont know how far true it is that reiki helps you deal with emotional problems as well as physical which may explain my crying, i had a really strange experience on my last session it was June 4th last year my dads birthday which is also the day my grandfather - his dad died. my dad was flying to spain that day and i could sense someone looking over the top of me during my session and kept feeling something touching my nose. I asked Linda - my reiki master why she was touching my nose as she doesnt usually touch me and she replied that she hadnt i suddenly burst in to tears for no reason when i explained about my dad and his dad and the day being the anniversary she seemed to think it was me grandad whom id never met, dont know if it was true but reiki deffinately works and i would reccommend it to anyone only problem is i always feel knackered after the session.

With Reiki helping to unblock the heart, solar plexus and sacral chakras which I find to be the places people store emotional energies the most, this often leads to big outlets of emotions during and after treatments. Quite a few times I`ve seen tears streaming down somebodies eyes whilst I`m doing the healing, to me thats a good sign and always makes me smile as I know what I`m helping to do is working...

Wow! I've heard some similar things and this just makes me want to check it out even more. I'm thinking about getting it done at this place called Zen in Birmingham as thats where I've had my Tarot's read before and they have been spot on with a lot of things. I'll have to phone to get more details like finding out about the detox before and after the attunement session, etc.... Thanks a lot for the info!
