All agreed and confirmed. However, during a wedding we will be under considerable culture constraint, the two invites I have this summer are for hindu weddings, and due to the rather strict regime, there is no meat or booze served inside. Most of those weddings are totally dry in their home country.
BUT...in this country, typically someone will sneak in some beers in his boot (sorry, 'trunk'!!) and his buddies plus whoever they meet on the day will knock them back discreetly in the car park. Like a ciggy break with booze. You can't really have more than a couple without it smelling on your breath or being away from your family for a conspicuously long period of time, so by the time I get back home a few hours later, the urge for another will have passed.
I may not want one at all, but I do want to be the guy who hands out the cold ones at long last, leeeetle lifelong dream of mine!!
