Yes, my black cat, Ace, tore into their noses.
He had to go to SPCA prision for 2 weeks because I didn't have proof that he had his rabies shots.

My poor baby. He was an awesome cat. I really think he thought he was a dog. 14 pounds all lean muscle.

I'll find a picture of him and post it on another day. I need to scan it.

Cheers Cap, I think ppl can change things if they try.....example greyhounds used to get thrown in the river or tossed on the street when they had retired from racing, but now there is a law being passed through parliment so that every racetrack must use registered dogs that show where they belong and can follow what happens when they retire.

This only happened becasue ppl did something about it...

My dog is named Suzy.

I was 4 wheel driving in the desert once and came apon a wash, it was probably about 4 feet deep and perfectly cut through the desert. It was about 3 feet wide. My dog kept wanting to dive in there (no water).
I climbed into it and was walking around and here comes my dog, she jumps into this dry wash and started running around like a spastic.
I started laughing so she was running up part of the wash then diving into it running.
The more I laughed the more she ran.
Then I heard a thud behind me, then a yelp.
She hurt her foot.
I went from laughter to shock.
After all she was all excited because I was laughing and now she was hurt.
I never took her to the vet but she did limp on it for a month, I think she is ok now.
But my point is I was having a great day till she got hurt then I had a bad day.
I would rather have an injury rather than my dog.

Right now when I run her hard, she starts limping. She is 6 and labs are known for hip displasia and I sure hope this is not the case.
That would really bum me out.

Ok, before anyone cracks me on the bum. Bum is short for bumming, bumming is sadness......Just thought Id clear that one up just in case it went in the wrong direction

I am a lucky man to have a loving dog.

But at one time she chewed everything that was on the ground, mail, electric cords, phone lines, pillows (down:(), shoes, everything, it was like she was teething for 2 years
She would poop in my trailor at the river and pee everywhere because I would leave her in my trailor when I went jetskiing.
She chewed through (to the springs) two matresses at the river trailor.
Once it look like a bomb hit my trailor, destroyed. Pulled the curtains off the wall, OMG it was brutal.

She would run away and once I said oh well, good riddence. Then she came back and she just got better and better.
Thinking of her now I have a smile on my face.

I think a Dog should be like a car and be registered to an owner...this way if any vet's have to treat dogs that have fought...or police find bodies of dogs then the microchips would tell them who's responsible....it's a start anyway...if the punishment ..(which I think is a fine or 6 months max) isn't bad enough then people will do it and profit from it....I like dogs that can handle themselves but I'd never fight any of mine....just love them too much

yeh.. we do have to have our dogs registered dont we? i had to send some paperwork off for mine.. maybe thats registered pedigree.. i got back a certificate to say he's mine, his birth certificate and a bigg super size poster of his generation (family tree).
thats a bit of a **** sentence for dog fighting id say.. they make a tonne on dog fighting and a fine is nothing.. 6months is a walk in the park. Yes every dog should be microchipped and registered but ppl will sell and ppl will buy on blackmarket (undercover).. have a litter of 6 and register 5.. that sort of thing. and even if they did get every dog microchipped.. the way this worlds moving these underground pricks will have a way to de-chip them.

once my dog went missing and i went bonkers, ders bois in my area who go around snatching dogs for fights but luckily he was found and safe.

I think the only solution is for the government and police to start taking dog fighting seriously...It pretty much died right down in the uk, but when the influx of asian immigrants began to arrive....it quickly became popular again, and is thriving now...especially among young asian's, as it's not frowned upon in india-pakistan etc and they don't think it's that wrong....the only way is to educate the young generation and come down so heavy on those that do get involved that it's not worth their time.....I'd go so far as to suggest the police set up a special unit...as it is it's left to the R.S.P.C.A who do not have the funding nor the manpower....nor the authority...but something has to be done.....
