What you were talking about is soccer's pure tribalism. Anyone who supports your team is ok, doesn't matter if it's a peadophile, Osama, Slobodan Milosevic etc, you get the idea. You'll get in the pub with him, or them, could be a bunch of complete strangers, but you're all ready to swap mobile numbers and buy each other pints without even knowing each other's surnames.

Anyone who supports another team is "baaaad"...anyone who supports your teams enemy, Heaven forbid (Ie Chelsea vs Fulham, ****nal vs Spurs) is deserving of a good kicking upon waking up.

If I see another BB'er walk down the road, I'm not liable to cross it just to yack about training, like you said, just a nod of acknowledgement, or at most a compliment about his best feature. Come to think of it, I've advised a couple of 'Upper-body-boys' to start doing their legs as they look completely skewed!

infact most of the time i've seen fights involving footy fans they have all been supporters of the same team!

stick a few hells angels with a few of the outlaws and you'll see a fight!!! 2 sets of bikers neither likes the other!!

agree with the BBing comments though it does seem to be a comunity of like minded people who do what they want to get what they want out of it and are happy to help others who need it!
Can I suggest you come up here on a old firm day and wait outside any hospital in ANY city / town, then tell me you have never seen footy violence.

Not proud of this, but at least a dozen stabbings, GBH, countless pub fights, single fights and usually a dozen or so murders each year.

Every football team has its hooligans and firms that attend matchs for no other reason than to fight.

If you have never seen people fight just over the teams they support then you are lucky. I have seen it countless times. Ive seen enitire bars get smashed to pieces because of rival 'firms' fighting.

Again no disrespect but inocent people dont get dragged out of bars and beaten up by police when they were simply having a quiet pint. It just doesnt happen mate.
i know football violence goes on but the ONLY time i have ever seen people fighting over it they supported the same teams and that was nothing to do with the game either that was just a case of 2 lots of ppl that didnt like each other that just happened to be in the same place and their team lost in the same day so all hell broke lose

an my cousin an the cheif con at merseyside police would disagree with the ppl gettin beaten up when they are jus having a drink because it ended up costin them alot of money to sort it out

yeah that happens most thursday, friday, saturday , sunday and monday nights down here thats when the footy isnt even on!!

i'm not saying violence in football doesn't happen i was simply saying i have never seen or heard of ppl fighting just over the teams they support, but i know it happens and some1 said bikers don't fight and there have been countless ppl "disappear" or get murdered in horrific fasions jus because they weren't in a certain group or becauseof the group they were in. my dad got a phone call 1 night off a mate of his who's a biker because 1 of his mates had just killed some1 and he needed a soliciter, he killed the fella over something stupid only £50 or something like that but the fella got killed with a hammer had half his skull scattered over his living room.

pookie69 will become famous soon enough
I've been as slack as hell since the world cup started, but it's so much to do with the world cup as it is to do with my house renovations which happened to coincide with that start of the world cup

>>> house is a total mess, full of decorators and crap all over the place - finding it hard to eat, sleep and relax let alone workout - even ate at MaccyDs for the first time in years outta desperation

>>> and the work is so not gonna be finished by the deadline :(

I seriously can't wait for life to get back to normal and get my ass back in the gym. Watching the footie matches right now is the only distraction i can get so i'm hugely grateful for it!

BTW - it's been as interesting as heck reading some of your posts in this thread - i had no idea so many ppl here were not fans of foootie and the world cup - i find it quite incredible tbh - im not a huge footie fan in general, but even i love watching the world cup and cheering on England
