![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Something for the Lads Some of you may remember that I created a bit of controversy when I first joined with talk of 'get naked for world peace'. WELL, I knew there was an idea in there just sort of floating around in my brain box. Some of you know I am now in this community project thing. I think I finally have an idea. I really wanted to involve this community sooooooooooooooo I am going to raise money for men's health issue. I am thinking prostate and testicular cancer, AND another one that just came to me that I would REALLY like to do is androgen deficiency, HPT shutdown research. I will have a few questions and ideas to bounce off you lads. FIRST one is, does anyone know any charities or research foundations working almost exclusively on men's health issues? Young man in my lab came up with the name for the project of 'Touch yourself' (you know you want to), and senior scientist also thought a calendar was a good idea. Well I had to ask if I would get fired if I got my kit off. I was also thinking if it is calender or website or both, who would you lads like to see seriously naked, any who have been naked already, some who haven't been as I think the more naked, the merrier! Think BIG. There are all sorts of interesting peeps in my seminar group, some work in film and TV so there are connections. I was thinking Pammie, Alicia Silverstead, Mila Jovenich (sp?) Hey I want to raise A LOT of money. Also my game plan is aim HIGH and see what happens. LADS BIG cyber hug! x x x T |

| Miss UK-Muscle Siren | Hi Tatyana, i think its great what you are trying to do but there is alot of hard work involved. Our recording studio is a non profit, community project so i may be able to help a little with the setting up of your project i.e constitutions, artcles of association etc. If you are looking for funding which im guessing you are to pay for the calendar/website, contact your local CVS (council for voluntary services). You may also want to look for the local Community Foundation in the area you are going to base your project. Also i think i remember you said you worked for the NHS find out if your nhs has outreach teams such as health inequalities teams they have funding for health education /awareness. If you need a hand give me a shout im a bit snowed under atm, but i can point you in the right direction funding wise. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have googled for a few men's health organisations on line. There are not many for androgen deficiency as far as I am aware. Kel, I think I may be fund raising for another organisation, not creating one. And I am thinking on-line community as well................................. x x x T |

I would really love to do something with androgen deficiency. CAP you are right, LOADS of things with men's health is seriously behind the times. AND most of you lot have to be DRAGGED kicking and screaming to the GP. BOTH of my grand dads would have lived longer if they had gone to get checked out sooner. :boohoo: x x x T My dad is better, however my mom is a nursing consultant in Canada |
