| UK-M's Mascot | pain in my arm a few days ago i hit the corner of the bedside cabinet on my right arm on the area just below the elbow, extremely painful so i thought i'll leave it for a few days to recover but it's still quite painful especially when i try to lift something. i especially feel the pain when i press against the tricep near the elbow. a friend told me that o might have trapped a nerve. Any ideas and how i could best help it recover?

Ice can help with inflimation and when you sleep keep it elevated. Time will heal this wound and anything that hurts to do, dont do it. RICE, Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation. If it does not clear up after a week then see a DR.

You will be fine give it a few more days. Elevation helps swelling as it is above the heart. Ibuprofen takes inflamation away and inflamation does not hurt an injury, it is the bodys way of healing itself. Ice is better, no stomach aches or liver damage there. Ice is more natural. But a Dr. wont hurt either but give it a few more days.

| UK-Muscle Male Animal | Some people think that heat is good. For the first 48 hours.........always ice and ice only. If you want to use heat, then after the 48 hours that is ok. Start with ice and end with ice. Dont deviate. Ibuprofen is good. Like hackskii said but I wouldn't get into a habit taking it. I am sorry that you hurt. I have done that stuff and healed with no problem. Sorry to hear about that mate :( . You will heal and be better, stronger faster, better than ever. Your name isn't Steve Austin is it?

| UK-Muscle Male Animal | Ibuprofen is not bad if you dont take it to often. For an injury and you take it for a few days it wont do anything to you. Now if you take it for a year then that is a different story. If you take it for a few days it could help heal the injury. Ice is best. Both is better.
