There is a spare room behind reception which is large enough for a bedroom. According to the lease you're not supposed to live here, but its not like they'd ever check. The council haven't stepped foot in here for 20 years. £1000 a year for rent would be brilliant - plus you wouldn't have to pay council tax. If I was still single I would definitely live here. We're only a five min walk from the town centre too, so it'd be cool for going out on a saturday night! No need for taxis etc..

We are open to offers really. We were selling for £45,000 before the deal fell through. We currently have two interested parties and possibly a third.

It is a great little gym. It does have its down sides - such as not having its own car park and not having any windows or heating.

There is a lot of building going on in Colchester at the moment - it certainly needs a face lift in some places! Then again, so do most towns. There are some new houses being built at the back of the gym in the near future which may bring in some new custom. Just heard that a rival of ours is closing, another will be closed in a year or so, and another is looking for new bigger premises, so it could only leave one other independant gym within 5-10 miles before too long.

The main construction is of the Garrison, it is a massive construction, including loads of new houses for the sqaudies, new training centres etc but i am sure there is also a phase that includes a new shopping centre etc. maybe a leasure centre>?

Me and a few of the lads here were thinking about buying a house or two, but we left it and left it and i suppose the house prices are quite expensive now! the job has been on the cards for over 7 years! but it has all kicked off now, i was going to be working there, infact there is a small chance i could as the job i am on now is nearly finished.

I was up there about 3 years ago for a month assisting a surveyor, nice place Colchester! I thought at the time the place has potential for new businesses etc I live in East London and everything seems to be being done already! lol

I will talk to a mate of mine and try to get more detailed info on what is happening.

Ah. I've heard that the army are building a new gym for their own use. That's the other side of town to us. There is currently a gym there called the arena, but apparently that will be closed down when the new houses are built as it is part of the site (army owned). The owner of the arena has always denied that it will close, but our bank manager says otherwise - he claims he has inside knowledge.

Any info you can let me know on the development would be quite handy, cheers.

Hmm...looks like an interesting prospect, would be great to live for 1000 quid a year, I will discuss the deal with my business partner, I hate those fecking council rip off monkeys, could have one of those beds that come out from the wall, and if the council turn up, can just say I've been working late sorting out the books or something
