it's a top film i went basingbourne when i passed out yrs ago they filmed most of it there and london docks at the time
pulled all fir trees up lol the airfield at basi was where they did the outside apparatus
and the place where he blows his brains out is now a school/learning section
great film anyway

Gunny R Ermy who played the drill sergeant in that pretty much improvised this whole scene, and most of his others. I payed the ghost of a similar character in a michael j fox film, can't remeber the name, but was quit a funny scene.

true he did improvise alot of it but it came natural he was after all a real marine corps drill instructor!
