Unhappy Help with my diet!

Hey guys,

Right im out in Iraq at the moment an im finding it really hard to get the amount of cals/protien i need a day down my throat!

Im taking myproteins 'hurricane' formula at the mo (where it says in my diet 'shake') but i was thinkin of getting the 'weight gainer elite' formula from now as it seems to have more cals an protien in.

I also work some stupid hours so i miss the odd meal, but if i get to the scoff house 3 times (thats all its open a day) then this is how my diet pans out:

0700 - Bowl of porridge, 4 x scrambled egg on toast an a bowl or cerial.

0930 - Shake

1200 - 2 x grilled chicken breast with pasta an tomoto sauce. Jacket potato sometimes with a few chips. Bowl of custard to follow.

1600 - Post workout shake

1900 - This varies from day to day, but usually something like this. Curry with boiled rice OR red meat (usually steak) with chips or jacket spud. Sometimes i have lasagne or spag bol instead of meat. Bowl of fruit salad to finish with a couple of buscuits.

Like i said scoff is only open 3 times a day (any squaddies or ex squaddies can sympathise). So i know this is nowhere near what i should be taking in. So can any1 please give me some ideas???

myprotien deliver out here so i can get any supplements etc from them. Cheers for any help u can give gents!!

Kev

Re: Help with my diet!

Its not easy in your position mate, i guess you have to eat what your given to a certain degree!?

You got the rite idea, have 3 meals a day then maybe 3 or 4 shakes.

Could u make your own??

Milk, whey, ground oats, banana, peanut butter maybe? Blended up.

If you can handle the lactose then milk on its own may come in handy.

Just my 2 pence

Re: Help with my diet!

Yeah lactose isn't a problem. It would take a while to get a blender out here an there is a 2kg limit on packages so i dont even know if i couldget 1 out here at all.

So u think ill just have to massivly supplement my diet with shakes?
