i tend to bring them in slightly. but i do not allow them to touch. but id ay more of a press, dont exageratte bringing them inward. well you can try both and see what feels better to you

i keep mine the same width(saying that i dont lock out, to try and keep it from working my tris too much) but see alot of people bringing them together and even twisting them to netural grip at the top to get more of a contraction.
