Abs.......Again :(

Hi , you lot probly get this alot ,

at the moment im doing 3 sets of 100 reps 3 times , normal sit ups ,

I just dont feel theres working , or doing aything , they used to hurt all the way throguh , now its only the last 20 -30

I tried crunches , didnt really do it for me either ,

Does anybody have any good ab techniques ?

Does any body know how to work out body fat? without tools ?

Thanks alot!!

Re: Abs.......Again :(

why do 100 reps of sit-ups, why do ppl consider the abs to be such a different muscle from lets say as an example...the chest?.....they are the same, train them hard and heavy for 8-10 reps, no need for all that stuff your doing.

Re: Abs.......Again :(

Do big compound exercises and you don't even need to do abs work.

Are you trying to get them on show? If you have to much bodyfat no amount of training will make them pop out!

Re: Abs.......Again :(

If I train them I just do a couple of sets of 10-15 reps...leg raises, crunches etc nothing complicated....

However....I got pulled into doing an ab workout with my manager....it was more an annhilation. 550 reps in the end, I had to crawl to get anywhere after and the next 4-5 days were agony. It was a bit of fun while we were bored during shift but its waaaaaay OTT and un-needed, I'd never do it meself.

Re: Abs.......Again :(

i'm happy with my abs and to be honest i hardly train them! usually just in the run up to a show i'll do hanging leg raises 3x20 and we hav a really good twist machine at our gym that allows the use of decent weight, again, i'd do 3x20, but i'd only do them both twice a week.
getting them to show is definatly more down to shedding any fat thats hiding em!
