Barbell pullovers? Bent over rows, stiff legged deads, skullcrushers, closed grip bench etc etc the possibilities are endless!.....

Re: free weight alternative

yeah some good calls there, however i was wondering aren't skullcrushers, closed grip bench and Barbell pullovers all promting the chest more than the back?

Re: free weight alternative

Have you tryed t bar rows with only one end of your barbell loaded up and the other on the floor agaisnt a wall, just keep changing grip each set.

Re: free weight alternative

Can't see why deadlifts (all varieties) and bent over rows along with t-bar rows wouldn't be enough to be going on with.

Upright rows would also hit your traps (which I do with back).

As already said, stiff legged deads are a great hamstring exercise. Good mornings will also hit lower back. Romanian deadlifts are also a great exercise.

Most of my routine is based around a barbell.

Re: free weight alternative

IMO you dont need anything but a barbell, some plates and a power rack.
Deadlift, squat, over head press, bo bb rows....
