![]() | French press Never heard of any exercise being refered to as a french press. Is it similar to an overhead extension like this: http://www.exrx.net/WeightExercises/...ArmTriExt.html |

Is it possible that trouble with the elbows is from incorrect form or warm-up? I do have a left elbow that twinges sometimes. Should I do a different tricept movement? How can I make sure I don't hurt my elbows with this move?

It is normally a tendon issue that causes people pain, I seem to have semi decent elbow tendons, but poor knee ones. So I can do reps with 100kg on OH French Press, but cant do leg press at all with out it killing my knees. Some exercises suit some better than others, but I think most people should be able to do some variation of a French press. Try doing dips, or Close grip bench 1st, to warm up and pre exhust, then finish off with the extentions.
