What concerns me is im leaning forward too much and am not pushing throw my heels, but your see all in the video. I had to do it outside as the lighting in my garage is too ****e. I have been working on it tho and getting better everyday, still must be pretty bad if you could spot it from the video tho !! lol

I lift straight from the floor using mostly back and then stand up into it but then I am a bodybuilder and so try to focus the whole lift onto the target muscle group, mostly my legs stay in a stable position on the first part of the lift. I think that lift is a good powerlifting deadlift, Big Pete will correct me if I'm wrong. Definately not anything to worry about but I think you'll get better results by not being so slow with the movement, its an explosive strength exercise in my book.

The doggy was a nice addition too! ![]() Sorry if this is going a lil OT, but I just quickly wanted to ask about breathing during deadlifts. I inhale deep before lifting off the ground at the start of the set, then exhale on the way up, inhale again on the way down, rest on floor, exhale on way up and so on. But during a working set of say 8-10 lifts, I'm gasping for breath by my 6th rep and need to stop for a few seconds to catch my breath before i can carry on and finish up the set. What am I doing wrong? Could someone gimme a few tips???

Although i do want to work my back too obviously, i guess im looking more for the anabolic effect that deadlifts have initiallly. If you get what im saying. Although i do squat too. Do you think id be better off sticking to a more powerlifting style like im currently doing, or changing my form to recruit my back into the exercise more?? Thanks again ![]()
