Push and Pull

I understand the importance of performing 'push' and 'pull' motions during exercise to work the muscles evenly and obtain a balance, but is there methods of exercising both muscles - for example pushups? Or should each type be performed independantly for maximum results?

Reason is that my chest is overtaking my back and im beginning to look hunched.

Re: Push and Pull

Push = Bench press, chest press, dumbell press, incline press, decline press.

Pull = Seated rows, bent over rows, one arm rows.

The list isn't exhausted but you get the picture

I do alot of rows and chins at the moment, but I can def push more than I can pull, is this normal? or should I be looking at equal weights?

I pull much more weight than I can push - my deadlift is 180kg and my bench is 130kg.
Most people I know also seem to pull more than they can push.

Yes, pulling is a stronger movement IMO. Let's face it, our back is a bigger bodypart than our chests...

Re: Push and Pull

Simple, stop training the chest & concentrate efforts on the back till the posture is corrected.
