Re: Any tips for a better bench?

Well, nine pack suggested I drop bench all together and do declines and inclines and that is it.

Bench can give some people shoulder injuries especially bar.

Re: Any tips for a better bench?

Test out different widts of hand placement if you use the bar. I also have started to pause just about an inch off my chest instead of going right onto my chest, seems to be a bit better. Also work out which breathing technique is best for you. I like to inhale on the way down, then at the beginning of way up hold my breath and then mid way through I exhale to help push the weight to complete the rep.

Re: Any tips for a better bench?

i would drop a set from each exercise and only do 3 sets per exercise or lose the flys and dips and do 2 exercises 4 sets for each e.g
4 sets of incline bench
4 sets of flat bench
and go heavy you could also alternate reps 8-10, 6-8, 4-6, 2-4
and tri dips for tris instead of chest and do them with skull chrusers instead of overhead cable presses
