In your opinion what's the best exercise for building up your traps ?

Up until the start of this year i would have said any of the shrug movements, but since february i have been doing a mix of cleans/clean and press/high pull and my traps have come on in leaps

this week for a change i went back to shrugs and i am still able to shrug the weights i was doing last year - so not dropped strength.

So i would definately look at using these other variations too

just my opinion - and how it worked for me

Shrugs then Upright Rows - in that order I'd say. Deads may also help.
