| UK-Muscle Moderator | Paulmoore your new to the board and your new to putting people down by the look of your feeble attempts. This is your first and last warning anything else of this nature by you and your gone for good simple as that. People are only trying to help. It might not be what you want ot hear but its sound advice. You have been warned.

Forearms come mainly as a secondary to doing all your other lifts for all bodyparts eg when you grip for chins, rows, deads etc. some people do some specific exercises, but if you do these alone and nothing else you will be sorely disappointed.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well, I have known some carpenders to have some really massive forearms. I dont know what was said or what Robdog eddited but I will explain a couple of simple exercises for forearms. I do know some golfers and baseball players that like to develop strong forearms to rip the ball farther. Here goes. First you have the top and bottom of the forearm to delvelop, actually the inside too but I will get to that later. You can work the top of the forarms by hanging your arms (palms down) over a bench and taking a bar and let the bar drop down then roll your wrists up. This will work the top. Working the bottom is just as easy by doing the same thing with palms up and let the bar roll down the fingers some too, this will develop the bottom of the forearms. A similar exercise to do this (bottom) is to stand with a bar behind you palms facing back and just let the bar roll down the fingers then rotate them back up, the bar will be behind you. To work the inside of the forearms you can hold a dumbell and it would be like doing a hammer curl but stop half way up and just (palms facing in) and rotate the dumbell up and down (side to side with the wrist). One last thing to work the top and this will be a killer. Take a stick and drill a hole in it right in the middle. Attach a thin rope through the stick and tie a knott at the end of the rope (just the rope). Now attach a weight at the end of about a 3 foot rope then hold your hands strait out in front of you and twist the rope up to the top then reverse the direction of the twisting and do that again. This will pummel your forearms on the top and give you a burn from hell.

![]() | forearms hi hackskii thnks for that i will do them. when you say roll the bar you mean stood with the bar behind my back and use the wrist movement , then stand with the bar in front of me and do the same but use over hand grip on the bar so its underarm grip overarm grip i like the last one with the wood roll the weight up, i bet that one is a real killer, do you think doing them exercises it would bulk the forearm up in inches. thnks mate. |
