No, dietary cholesterol has very little effect on your own cholesterol levels.

In fact, those on diets typically high in cholesterol, such as Atkins, tend to show LOWER body cholesterol levels.

Two eggs a day is absolutely fine.

If you're still worried just get your cholesterol levels tested.

I'm not really worried about it as my dads seems to think different! I told him i will get my cholesterol levels tested anyways just to shut him up! Can you buy kits yourself to test them and will i have to go to the docs for a blood test?

Boots sell home tests for about a fiver or so.

Or you can go to the docs and get one done for free. I think some pharmacies also do these tests for free.

Haaa haaa, this keeps comming back and then comming back

Here is my take on all this, posted a while back when I was looking into the egg thing:
What do eggs have in them?
The whites contain niacin, riboflavin, chlorine, magnesium, potassium, sodium and sulfur.

The yolks With the exception of riboflavin and niacin, the yolk contains a higher proportion of the egg's vitamins than the white. All of the egg's vitamins A, D and E are in the yolk. Egg yolks are one of the few foods naturally containing vitamin D.

Eggs also contain LECITHIN, Calcium, thiamin, folic acid and some good fats.

The yolk also contains more phosphorus, manganese, iron, iodine, copper, and calcium than the white, and it contains all of the zinc. The yolk of a Large egg contains about 59 calories.

I have read though that there is an enzyme in the egg that eating raw is not recomended. I cant remember if it is absorbtion or not good.

If you eat 2 eggs a day I would not worry about it at all.
I have read that some societies ate eggs every day and lived long lives.
My Grandparents ate eggs every day and never had heart problems or cholesterol problems at all.

Cholesterol when eaten is less than 20% the total cholesterol in the diet. The other over 80% is made by the liver.

Liver blocking cholesterol drugs have nasty side effects like muscle weakness and many more.

Cholesterol is a pre-curser for the development of testosterone.

some low cholesterol diets have low base test levels.

Eggs are a great food and have the highest bio-avialable protein source of any food. Dont be afraid of eggs, the fact that one would stress out about eating them is worse than taking them in in your diet.....

I was at the lunch truck at work ordering my normal 4 eggs over easy for breakfast, and some guy that got coffee and a sugar donut says to me "those eggs have way to much cholesterol and they are going to kill you". Wtf? See how the media spins sh1t!

The world health organisation recommends 10 eggs a week maximum, not sure if that is fat or cholesterol related? but they do say that most of the cholesterol in eggs is broken down.

As Hacks said, cholesterol is made mostly in the liver and therfore hypercholestremia is genetic not diet related.

Interestingly shellfish are said to contain a lot of cholesterol also??
