120 Calories. Or 13 grams. Good sh1t. Dont worry about the fat. You need fat to loose fat mate.

Too much fat?
Fat regulates alot of hormones.
Add fat to a carb and the insulin responce will be lower.
Cholesterol is the pre-curser to testosterone and other hormones.
Anyone who says fats are bad do not know what they are talking about.
Olive oil can lower cholesterol.
Fats are important for eicasinoid production and vital for good health.

1 gram of fat = 9 cals
1 gram of protein = 4 cals
1 gram of carbs = 4 cals
1 gram of alcohol = 7 cals
1 gram of ketones = 7 cals (dont quote me on this short term memory loss is working overtime right now)....

those are correct hackskii
now how many calories does it take to digest each of those items at 1 gram
what effect does each one have
when combined do they require more, less or the same calories to digest
when combined do they cause a different effect
when combined in different ratios does that effect the above...

wait, hmm a pattern here, combining them in different levels and amopunts and calories and timing causes different effects.. so nutrition isn't simple after all! oh no, there goes that internet education right down the drain, unless you have something to base it off of... eh?

LOL - OK I shouldn't tease like that
(did anyone follow this?)

I did and the answer is yes.
For me on my big meals I like
45 grams of carbs.
35 grams of protein.
7 grams of fat.
But on your book you have these guys eating sh1t carbs to make up the ratio why?
Aka pasta, potatoes, egg noodles, get my point?
I understand your book. Trust me. Why take in b.s. carbs when there are so many better ones to choose from?
I love you chefx, I just need info. After all that is why I am here. I am not having a go and if you think I am, I am sorry. You are one smart guy and I want the board to learn just like me.;)

Skizxi you shouldnt cook using olive oil as the oil is unstable at high temps you would get much more benefit from putting on your meals after they are cooked......

Actually those carbs you don't like are needed and contain essential needs as well. The whole idea of them being sh!te is because of Sears (plus other extremist) and he's a freaking moron you know. The Zone and books like that were written from a couch sitter and cardio perspective only, not from an athletic or weight training person (ever notice in his writing about standford he doesn't mention the "candybars"? Yes I said candy bars as in a snickers bar + protein drink, that is what was used to balance out their diet!!!
Besides the whole point is to enjoy your food and to me these (starches/sugars) are some of the most enjoyable foods there are. So in my diatia I figured out how to put them in and keep the effects I wanted aka manipulation through food.
