Preworkout meal.

What do you have for your preworkout meal?

What do you guys find helps best to help you push hard and heavy?

And how long before do you think your last meal should be before you train?

Oats and egg whites. I find this works well for me. I eat it about 30-40 mins before I train. Ideally I'd eat an hour or so before, but I train shortly after waking up.

Gastric emptying takes about 2 hrs so really you shouldn't eat after that. The reason being that your body will have diverted a lot of blood to the gut for digestion instead of to your muscles.

Personally I drink Maximuscle Viper before a workout, it has carbs and lots of caffiene I put some Glutamine in it too and will add creatine also post cycle.

I like to lift on a empty stomach.
If I eat then it would be a small apple or orange.

Hey winger that quote you took made me chuckle. Sounds like a post rave meal to me. I wouldn't fancy training heavy after that. Straining too much might result in a smelly brown puddle under my bench.
