Increasing calories

For the first time today, I counted how many calories Im getting in a day, and it cant be more then 2,500. This, I know, is very low, but I am eating almost constantly and feel full the whole time. My protein is fine, about 180g a day (weight 175lbs atm), so are there any way of increasing calorific intake? Would a supp be the best way of doing things?
Cheers as always,
John

IMO add more protein. 180g is fine if you're a 120lb female looking to add some muscle, but for a 175lb guy looking to build muscle, 180g of protein isn't nearly enough. I found this out the hard way.

List up your full current diet. I'm sure we'll find lots of ways for you to add calories

Me myself, I find that if I eat smaller meals I get hungry quicker.
If I eat big meals then I feel full for hours.
Also if I drink alot of water I seem to eat more. I dont know why this is but it is.

So if you eat like lets say 500 cal meals then you will be hungry every few hours.
I used to eat these zone bars that have 220 cals (40/30/30), 2 hours later I was more hungry than before I ate the bar.

Also if you eat less for long periods of time your metabolism will slow down, up to 35% slower. So the small meals will speed things up considerably.
Dont forget the water too.

I am not having a go with you Jimmy but maltodextrine is a huge insulin spiker.
It all depends how you are getting the 2500 calories also. I can set up a diet with 2500 calories and you wouldn't be able to eat all the food.
Also if you were having the majority of the calories toward bed time you could gain also.
particleastro, do you have a pic?

Can I play?

Adjust all your food amounts up.
If you can't eat more food but want more nutrion in liquid, try this...
milk 2%
whey protein
cottage cheese 2%
yogurt 2%
honey
water as needed
blender it (flavors? sugar free pudding mix works a treat and thickens it too for texture, yeah thats what the shake companies use its labeled as modified food starch)

The goal is a blend that comes out to 40% protein, 30% carbs and 30% fat by calories (can't tell you exact amounts as different products vary but get the ratio right by calories). Make up a 600 calorie drink and have 100 calories of it per each of your six meal a day. If you need more then go for a 1200 a day shake over your six meals. Cost is cheaper than MRPs and far better for you. Of course I'd suggest you just use my diatia to begin with! LOL ok LMAO
cheers

True mate I agree but a little (key word there) malto added to shakes wont do any harm

Too much malto does spike insulin yes and this is why i had trouble dieting for a show going hypo....not nice

Thanks all, I seem to be missing oils out quite a lot, confirmed by the Diatia e-book I bought from ChefX. Will try to pull this side up more.
