Calorie info

i weigh100lbs .. if i eat less than 2000 cals but eat (1.2x weight) 120gm pro and 300 gm carbs ... will i gain, maintain or lose weight ???

I'd say say you should be aiming for 2500 calories a day to gain weight.

Assuming of course that you are training with weights and eating quality food.

So after that you only get 35.5 grams of fat to get to 2000 cals. You need more fat mate.

I think that you need to try it for a week at that level.

If you loose < 2lbs then drop cals by 200ish
If you loose > 2lbs then raise cals by 200ish. (avoid catabolic nightmares)

If you find you're dropping 5lbs a week, dont continue, it wont all be fat! you'll loose alot of muscle. Slow and Steady wins the race.

aqs, if you want mass you really need to eat 2500 calories MINIMUM (like lorian said).
You might even need more.
my considerable gains have come from eating about 3700, and i find that hard work.

Heavy compound exercises, 3000+ calories from quality sources and you should gain

Tell us more about yourself.......
age, height, are you weight training?
