Carbs !!!

Hi,

Back after a long forced break due to health issues !

Currently at 15 stone, want to put size back on but dubious about carb source.

Should I go back to complex (spuds, rice etc) or fibrous (veg), want to put size on, need to trim the fat a bit, but don't want to overdo the carbs.

Can anyone advise ?

Re: Carbs !!!

welcome

complex and simple are as useful as boy or girl when shopping for hookers in thailand.

What they appear as on paper is not what they will be inside as it were.

Look more to the right insulin response to the total meal over simple and complex.

For PWO you may want a high insulin response and fibre sp**** carb with insulinogenic protein and low fat...dextrose, malto, WMS are all choices

For most other sit down meals, yams, oats, grainy stuff with fibrous veg and less insulinogenic fats and carbs are more ideal

then if you want easy top up carbs go in between with less fibrous calorie dense powders
