Sweet, I would up the protein some.
Drop some carbs.
Up the fats some. Fats less poly and more mono.

The only other thing I would change is to more whole foods with vegetables.
Something like broccoli (natural anti-estrogen food) and low in the GI.

I got to admit, that is the nicest journal I have ever seen

Thanks for your replies guys,

Yeh the fitday journal is good and fairly easy to use. I think any noob wanting a check of their diet should be directed there for a couple of weeks to record their intake so that it can be analysed by the forum?

The journal falls down in a couple of places as most food lables only label fat, perhaps with saturated fat listed also but rarely mono or poly, so I probably have more than was listed.

Will try to up the fats with more nuts and get me some steak!

Regards

SD

Not all nuts are created equal.
Almonds hold alot of nutrition in them.
Macadamia nuts might be the highest in fat (good) about 1 gram each.
A steak would be a nice addition to your diet.

Agreed steak (my favourite meal yum yum) is always good to have every now and again.
I tend to go for a steak about every 3 days myself. You gotta love the steak yum yum

Thx all,

Have had some steak today as you may see if you look at my diary!

Any other ways apart from nuts to increase fats in a healthy way?

Regards

Oh yah, Avacados, olives, flax seed, all really good stuff.. You can mix in some flax seed in your protein drink.
Flax has a anti-cancer agent called lignans. I have heard flax as being anti-cancer, anti-virul, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial.
Good stuff and makes the shake tast better too IMO, even a scoop of peanutbutter in your shake is good.

Sport Dr, lovin that site...after your recommendation on another thread my girlfriend and I have been trying to get a better handle on our intake of prot, carb, cal.

My question which hopefully you or someone else may be able to answer is on that site it says that you burn about 3500 calaroies a day from just working and existing.

I saw on your history and on mine when I did it that you can eat a lot of food and only consumer say 2500 calories. That's a 1000 calorie deficit! wouldn't that mean you started to lose weight. I haven't been, even been gaining some so I'm woundering how that can be.
