Olive oil

Hi lads justa quick question i think im slightly lacking in good fats and was wondering if it is ok to drink olive oil, I have some standard morrisons olive oil and heard it was ok to drink table spoon i mean one a day maybe any help would be fantastic cheers.

If you can stomoch it dude then go for it, for me i only like it on Veg, Tattie's etc. Cant stand to drink it off a table spoon. Oooooft!!

drink away. I love the stuff. i was going to tr drinking a table spoon every morning, apart from its good fat benifits it is also good for digestion, joints,bowels ....... there are some very old people in Greece that are very healthy and drink a small glass every morning!

if you can, drink the extra virgin, cold press stuff.

Whey and olive oil is good on a cut. 20ml + 30g whey is 300kcals

You can also use coconut milk if you need instant energy from the MCT's, all though it wont help you cut as MCT's don't aid long fatty acid liberation.

i too have recently increased my fats (2 tablespoons per meal). I agree, olive oil is strong so get yourself to Morrisons and get some Hemp oil and/or walnut oil. Walnut oil is really nice, specially in rice or pasta

Have you been reading T-Nation again...?

MCTs will increase fat oxidisation.
MCTs will also act as a 'fast fat' by being sent to the liver for conversion to ketones to bring you back into ketosis.

To this end I'm going to try and drop PreWO Carbs, in favour of strict meal timing weighting MCTs for meals when the Body is in a fasted state, and PreWO.

olive oil is a wonderful addition to a healthy diet. Olive oil from Greece is thinner and sweeter than Italian olive oil. Buy extra virgin olive oil if you can.

After a month of having regular olive oil your skin conditions should have improved so much that your friends will remark on it.....

I add it to my protien shakes, makes the milk taste like icecream.

also its realy nice with some home made bread, you have it before your main meal as a apetizer. dip the bread in the oil.
