![]() | Re: how to beat a hangover I'm sure that not everyone has the steadfast dedication to their health to just avoid alcohol or not drink so much, of course that should be the goal, but the point of the thread is to "minimize" the amount of anguish suffered when one just can't help themselves to a few extra drinks. If you've ever been out, with friends, or just on a special occasion and find yourself having a wonderful time, you may "accidentally" have too many, this was support to help keep people out of bed and in the gym. |

It doesnt show you know anything aside from how to cut and paste. You dont even comment on them. The original post was indeed about reducing a hang over (which involves simple steps to avoid what alcohol does in the first place) but then someone started going on about aldehydes and health?! The odd binge mentioned has negelgable effects on health. The only detrimental effect of alcohol on health is through continuous exposure, which as I stated in the first place, is a practice you should have the will power to avoid anyway.

alcohol upregulates aromatase production which increases estrogen (subsequently also reducing testosterone production). there also may be negative gaba feedback and modulation that play a role in the negative emotional after effects that some people experience.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: how to beat a hangover its not BAC per se that is the issue, rather the lack of compensation for such with respect to aldehyde dehydrogenase, wherein alcohol dehydrogenase does compensate to some extent (leaving you with higher concentrations of toxic aldehydes as high BAC is metabolized)
