My Diet

Hi, having read so many articles on diet etc I thought I would post up my diet and see what people thought. I follow this pretty religously. I would also like to state that this is just a typical day, I do not eat this exact thing every day.

8-15 - (on waking) 30g whey in water (sometimes milk)

9-00 - 200g liquid egg whites, 1 raw egg, 150g oats dry weight, frozen fruits, honey (all blended together to make a shake). Vitamins

11-30 - Tin of makeral, small sweet potatoe, plate of frozen veg

2-00 - 175g rump steak, 100g rice dry weight, spinach

4-30 - 100g liquid egg whites, 2 raw eggs, 100g oats dry weight, apple, banana, kiwi (all blended again)

7-00 - Tin of tuna, sweet potatoe, plate of frozen veg

10-00 - bowl of muesli with whey protein mixed in

12-00 - scoop of casein in water (providing i have casein in stock)

On a workout day, I would also consume creatine in the morning and a PWO shake consisting of 2 scoops whey, 5g creatine, 4g HMB, 30g dextrose and a banana and have my next meal 1 hour after.

I am currently 12 stone and cant seem to budge even though I have been eating like this for so long now. If I slacked for a week, I gaurantee I would drop to about 11 3/4. I have started adding cups of full fat milk during the day as a calorie booster but not sure if it is fully agreeing with me. Any ideas on what I can do to really up the anti???
Thanks.

Re: My Diet

Diet looks ok(except why have you split your breakfast?)

Training/recovery may be the problem?

Re: My Diet

I have just cut my training back to 3 times a week. Before I was doing a minimum of 4, sometimes 5 day splits. I am also in a job where I am always on my feet also but can get some good power naps in at certain points in the day!

I constantly read in magazines about consuming whey as soon as you wake to give the body an instant protein hit?

Re: My Diet

I like that diet. Do you manage to eat it every day? Have you tried reducing the egg whites in favour of whole eggs?

Do you know what it breaks down in terms of protein/carbs/fat?

Be careful when drinking lots of milk - increase your intake slowly.

Re: My Diet

i manage to get it most days, unless i am up late or go to bed early in which case i miss a meal. Im not sure about what it breaks down to though! I aim for 25-30g protein each hit.

I have been through the whole egg stage and still eat at least 2 a day, its just I find the liquid egg whites so convenient. I may well go back to a few more whole eggs though!

I think the milk may have increased my cinus problems since I upped it so I have cut down again! May be coincidence though so I will go for it again in a week and see what happens. Any other good quick ways of upping calories?
