Soya's macronutrient profile is pretty good, here's a typical tempeh (process soya beans) profile: Per 166g (1 cup) Calories 310kcal Protein 30.8g carbohydrate 15.6g Fat 17.9g This was just from a google search, it will vary from product to product immensely. I wouldn't rely on soya exclusively for bulking but its a nice change from other typical bodybuilding foods. |

![]() ![]() | Re: soya and tofu good for bulking? There's no many of use around mate, people seem to be frightened of soy because of the 'phytoestrogens' but you'd have to consume A LOT of soy for that to be an issue. |

Yea to be honest i think thats some bad science going on when people say it will produce estrogenic efects like maby if you mega binge but I dont see how if its just normal consumption how it will produce this effect. | |
